  2. Click “Let’s Start"
  3. Click “register with us” followed by “register for digital banking”
  4. Follow the prompts
  5. Read and accept terms and conditions and “submit”
  6. Create an online banking username and password  & confirm password
  7.  Enter OTP and click “continue”

How to buy Airtime

  1. Login and enter OTP
  2. On your dashboard click Buy
  3. Click Buy VAS/Pay Bills
  4. Click Airtime Top Up
  5. Select airtime Service Provider i.e BTC Mobile /Mascom/Orange
  6. Follow the prompts
  7. Click submit, confirm and click “OK”
  8. Enter OTP and submit
  9. Receive the confirmation/ validation screen.

How to Purchase Prepaid Electricity

  1. Login and enter OTP
  2. On your dashboard click Buy
  3. Click Buy VAS/Pay Bills
  4. Click Prepaid Electricity then BPC
  5. Follow the prompts
  6. Click submit and confirm
  7. Enter OTP and submit
  8. Receive the confirmation/ validation screen.
  9. Success SMS alert will report to your mobile.

How to make a loan payment

  1. Login and enter OTP
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. An OTP will be sent to your mobile device, enter the OTP and click submit.
  4. Select Loans on the dashboard
  5. Select Make Loan Payment
  6. Follow the prompts then submit.
  7. Enter the payment amount
  8. Confirm and submit

  2. An OTP will be sent to your mobile device, enter the OTP and click submit
  3. Select Loans
  4. Select Make Loan Payment
  5. Follow the prompts and submit
  6. Confirm
  7. Enter the OTP received via SMS
  8. Receive the confirmation/validation screen.

  1. Dial *190*123#
  2. Select 1 to register
  3. Follow the prompts
  4. Create a 4-digit pin
  5. Confirm the pin

How to buy pre-paid electricity

  1. Dial *190*123#
  2. On the main menu select Buy/Pay
  3. Then select prepaid electricity
  4. Then follow the prompts
  5. Token number will be sent to mobile number

How to buy airtime

  1. On the main menu select Buy/Pay
  2. Then select airtime top-up
  3. Then enter the mobile number
  4. Enter the amount
  5. You will receive a success confirmation screen

  2. On the main menu select Buy/Pay

Golden Tips

  • Always use a computer or phone you can trust.
  • Always log out immediately after you conclude your online banking session.
  • Choose a secure but easy to remember password.
  •  Use a strong password or paraphrase Always contact the bank immediately if you notice any suspicious activity.

General Tips

  • Never leave your device unattended once you have signed in and started a Banking session.
  • Do not write down your passwords.
  • Report loss of credit and debit cards or ID, driver's license, or any other identity documents immediately.
  • Always inform the bank that you’ve changed your mobile number or any other critical information by calling the Contact Centre or visiting the nearest BBS Bank Branch.
  • Do not hesitate to inquire about anything when in doubt, notify the bank by contacting the Call Centre or go to your nearest branch.
  • Tear up or shred receipts and bank statements, offers before throwing them away. Shred documents containing personal or financial information before discarding. Many fraud and identity theft incidents happen because of mail and garbage theft.
  • When using social media, avoid sharing personal details that are used by financial institutions to identify you, such as your birth date, home address, mother’s maiden name, schools attended/mascots and pet’s name etc. Fraudsters may use this type of information to help gain access to an account since they are common answers to security questions.
  • Make the most of your phone's security features.
  • Avoid using public devices or networks to access digital banking platforms.
  • Avoid using public free internet for access to digital banking platforms.  

Online banking user tips

  • Always use the Apple App Store or Android Google Play Store to download the Mobile banking application.
  • Do not give your Online Banking username and/or password to anyone.
  • Do not give your One Time PIN (OTP) to anyone.
  • Beware of e-mail attachments. Especially if they are from someone you don't know, even if they are from someone you do know, do not click on links in emails claiming to be from BBS Bank (we never send links in our correspondence).
  • Always type in www.bbs.co.bw in your browser. Only use secure browser that shows https://
  • Sign up for online banking and review your statements on a regular basis.
  • Long periods of login inactivity may increase the risk of fraud and other issues so we will log you out of your online banking session after 5 minutes of inactivity to prevent others from gaining access to your account.

Mobile Phone safety tips

  • Disable features not actively in use such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and infrared. Set Bluetooth-enabled devices to “non-discoverable” when Bluetooth is enables.
  • Use the security functions that come with your device, such as the keypad lock or phone lock function, Touch ID or facial recognition tools. These functions will help stop authorised access to your phone. touch Be careful about sharing your mobile phone with others. Don't try to log into your account from someone else's phone.
  • Do not leave your mobile phone unattended and unlocked. Always log off the App when you are not using it. To ensure the highest level of protection, keep your mobile operating system up to date.
  • Be cautious when using public hotspots. If possible do not access your digital channels via public hotspots.
  • Use caution on which QR codes to scan, as some may have been tampered with if placed in a public place.
  • Password protect your smart phone

Computer safety tips

  • Do not save your passwords on your browser.
  • Maintain active and up-to-date antivirus protection provided by a reputable vendor. Schedule regular scans of your computer in addition to real-time scanning.
  • If you suspect your computer is infected with malware discontinue using it for banking, shopping, and other activities involving sensitive information. Use security software and/or professional help to find and remove malware.
  • Require a password to gain access to your PC. Log off or lock your computer when not in use.
  • Only use secure websites for transactions and shopping. Look for secure transaction signs like a lock symbol in the lower right-hand corner of your browser or “https” in the address bar.
  • Avoid downloading programs from unknown sources.
  • If you use a public or shared computer to access Online Banking, it's vital that you sign off when you are finished.
  • Change your computer and Internet banking password regularly. Do note that BBS will never, under any circumstances, ask you for your username and password for your banking profile.
